New York Fashion Week is over but its spirit lives on in several trends that resonated throughout the week.  From the literal to the philosophical, ultra sophisticated to lackadaisical - we've got some of the hottest trends right here.

1. Metallic

For Fall 2017, designers turned to a hue they know works on almost anyone!  From cocktail to evening wear, designers presented a fresh alternative with familiar silhouettes in gleaming metallic.

2. Fur

Seen everywhere on the runway and in countless street style looks, fur is becoming one of the few staple items a woman needs in her wardrobe.  Whether faux or real, the fur serves as a statement piece and adds luxury with ease.  Accessorize with a stole, fur scarf or go full on glam in a fur coat!

3. Oversized Everything

Designers are inspired by street style looks that feature polished women in oversized jackets, tops and everything else.

4. Suits

With nods to menswear staples like the tailored blazer and pant, designers gave business casual essentials a new attitude that makes them appropriate for any occasion.

5. Americana

While political unrest may be a hot topic in everyday news, designers used hopeful themes of America to inspire people on and off the runway.

6. Crimson

Rich, deep, and regal, Crimson was seen all over the runway. This particular shade proved ideal for monochromatic looks, bold lips and velvety fabrics.

7. Plaid

Tartan prints were everywhere for Fall 2017 from coats, suits and even evening wear!

Whether you're choosing to go full on monochrome or spice up your pale canvas with a pop, you can't go wrong with a nude palette.

9. Florals

Mixing the softness of florals with fabrics like leather and heavy knits adds a juxtaposition that elevates a look from dainty to uber chic.

Trench coats were seen everywhere in a multitude of fabrics taking even the most basic outfit to high fashion in a matter of seconds.
